TGCPS offers producers, artistic directors, agents, publishers, board members, and department heads the best opportunity each year to meet new talent. Shop for scripts and connect with fresh faces in management, direction, design, performance, choreography, stage fighting, intimacy coordination, interpreting, FOH, administration, and more.
Grande Prairie, Alberta is well equipped to host TGCPS, with hundreds of beautiful rooms available at diverse price ranges, with most hotels offering shuttle service to and from the nearby Grande Prairie Airport.
The city and surrounding towns have a great range of delicious options for meals and beverages, and breakfast is often included with hotel reservations.
With regular flights to and from Edmonton, Calgary, and the rest of Canada, the arrivals and departures to and from GP Airport are of Canada's most pleasant. The friendly ground staff, easy mobility, and convenient café all ensure your Peace Country experience starts and ends on the right foot.
Those flying in on their own planes can make arrangements with the Beaverlodge DeWitt Airpark, just 40 kms west of the city.
Each Showcase is a quick demo of a full production. We'll see a 10-minute scene from each play, either read by the author or escenified by actors. You choose what scripts you'd like to read and with whom you'd like to speak.
There's a lot more than playwriting talent at TGCPS. Meals, an awards ceremony, and an ever-popular Theatre Party help to make it impossible to leave without having made new connections.
